On 28 – 29 October 2019, The Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission together with the International Telecommunications Society (ITS) hosted the 15th International Telecommunication Society, Asia-Pacific Regional Conference. Assistant Professor Thawatchai Jittrapanun Ph.D., NBTC Commissioner and Mr. Takorn Tantasith, NBTC Secretary General opened the conference hosted at JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok. The conference was also attended by Mr. Stephen Schmidt, Chairman of ITS and Professor Hitochi Mitomo, Vice Chairman of ITS.
 
Under the theme “Digital Transformation for Building a Sustainable Society”, the 15^th ITS conference served as a platform for scholars in the telecommunications and media industry to present their academic research. Moreover, it provided the opportunity for both public and private sectors to discuss and exchange knowledge in order to acknowledge the current circumstances regarding the advancement of telecommunications technology and innovation.
